The 4th of October rang many bells in the ears of students at IITH as the much awaited ‘Ice cream and DJ night’ was being held that night. Enthusiasm spread across the atmosphere and students couldn't wait for the sun to set.
The Fresher’s were in for a treat as the night was going to be the first of its kind for them at IITH. By 9 o’clock, a significant crowd began to gather at the 900 series’ quadrangle, and the ice cream counters attracted the students right away. Most students looked to outmatch their friends in the number of ice cream scoops that they had eaten. There was a vast variety of flavour’s, which included Chocolate, Butterscotch, Strawberry, Blackcurrant, Fig ‘n’ Honey, Cashew ‘n’ Raisin, and Pista. Toppings were galore too.
But the night wasn’t all about taking in calories. With the DJ’s loud music and the groovy lighting, the crowd gradually moved to occupy the dance floor. It was a memorable night, especially for those students who danced for the first time in their life, and soon enough, they were dancing as well as the others. The event came to a close well past midnight, and the deeply satiated hearts of the students could not have asked for a better night.
