"Spark" Lecture Series, Successful Entrepeneurs Enlighten Students

All the ideators, entrepreneurs and the business buffs of IIT Hyderabad were star struck at the venue of the inaugural speech of the Entrepreneurship Talk Series “Spark” this Sunday. The talk series which was started with the intention of bringing together the dreams of aspiring ideators with the success of the best in the business, couldn’t have had a more apt beginning.

The two speakers of the day, Mr. Gandharv S Bhakshi and Mr.SoubhagyaSahoo, struck a chord with the audience, both of them being IITians themselves. Their success stories were inspiring, and interactive to say the least, and implanted the seeds of making everyone’s dreams of having their own companycome true.

Mr. Gandharv S Bhakshi, an accomplished entrepreneur, had achieved an All India Rank of 5in JEE-2001. Graduating from IIT- Bombay, he took up a PGP at IIM Bangalore, achieving every target that he set for himself. An expert in strategy mapping and process implementation of start-ups, he had been instrumental in the rise of many companies. Involved in a technical start-up of his own named Lumos, which focuses mainly on renewable energy sources from everyday use, Mr. Bhakshi was truly the epitome of a person who achieved his dreams with passion.

Mr. SoubhagyaSahoo, also an IITian, graduated from IIT Kharagpur and went on to pursue his MBA in IIM Ahmedabad. An seasoned campaigner in the field of framing business requirements, Mr. Sahoo then made complete utilization of his technical knowledge and business expertise to establish his own technical start up Gray Routes which promises efficient transport systems to companies. With companies in the Fortune 500 List of Companies as clients, the start-up has been acknowledged among the Top 75 in over 14000 start-ups in India.

The speech was followed by a question and answer session which enabled aspiring dreamers to learn the secrets of the trade from the masters themselves. All in all, the talk series promises to be a unprecedented hit in the history of IIT Hyderabad.
